How to Upgrade Firmware on Elo 03-Series and 53-Series IDS Monitors
This article provides step-by-step instructions for upgrading the scaler firmware on IDS-03 and IDS-53 digital signage monitors from Elo — Now part of Zebra Technologies.
Required Materials
- Windows 7 or Windows 10 host computer (32-bit or 64-bit).
- Standard Video cable (HDMI).
- Standard USB cable (Type-A to Type-B).
- The MultiISP_v1.84 software utility.
- The IDS-03 / IDS-53 Firmware file (ensure you download the correct firmware specific to your monitor model).
Firmware Upgrade Procedure
- Turn ON the Monitor: Ensure the IDS-03 or IDS-53 monitor is connected to power and turned on.

Connect the Cables:
- Connect one end of the HDMI video cable to the host PC and the other end to the IDS monitor.
- Connect the USB cable (Type-A to Type-B) from the host PC to the USB Type-B port on the IDS monitor.

Install the USB Driver on the Host PC: This driver is required for proper data communication between the PC and the monitor controller.
- Download and unzip the MultiISP_v1.84 package to a location on your host PC.

Open the extracted Driver installer folder.

Double-click and install the GLUSBFLT_SETUP_V3.11.exe driver file on the host PC.

Open the MultiISP Software: After the driver is successfully installed, open the MultiISP.exe program on the host PC.

Load the Firmware File:
- In the MultiISP software interface, check the Scaler checkbox.
- Click the Open button and select the specific firmware file that you downloaded for your monitor upgrade.

Start the Firmware Update Process: Click the START icon to initiate the firmware flash. Wait patiently for the update progress bar to complete.
