This article explains what to do when the Elo driver will not uninstall
Occasionally we will have a customer contact us stating they are continuing to see an Elo driver listed in their Add/Remove Programs list despite the fact they have uninstalled the driver. Clicking on the "Uninstall" button does nothing.
If you are still seeing an Elo touch driver listed in your Add/Remove Programs and you are unable to remove it by choosing "Uninstall" see below.
- NOTE: Modifying the System Registry can cause programs to stop working or damage important system files needed by your computer. Only modify the registry if you are confident in doing so. Elo is not responsible for any damage that may occur by modifying the System Registry.
- Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe)
- Locate the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
- Look for registry key named "Elo" and delete.
- Quit Registry Editor.
- Verify that the reference in the Add/Remove Programs tool is no longer visible.
