How to Remove Orphaned Elo Driver Entries from Windows Add/Remove Programs

In rare instances, an Elo touch driver entry may continue to appear in the Windows Installed Apps / Add or Remove Programs control panel even after the software binaries have been uninstalled. Clicking the Uninstall button on these orphaned entries produces no response or generates an error stating that the uninstaller cannot be located.

Follow the registry cleanup procedure below to safely purge stale uninstallation keys.

Manual Registry Cleanup Steps

1. Open the Windows Registry Editor: Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter (click Yes on the UAC prompt).

2. Navigate to the standard Windows Uninstall registry hive: 

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

   (For 32-bit drivers on a 64-bit OS, also check: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall)

3. Expand the Uninstall key folder, locate any subkey named Elo or containing Elo Touch Solutions, right-click the key, and select Delete.
4. Close the Registry Editor.
5. Reopen Settings > Apps > Installed Apps (or Control Panel > Programs and Features) and confirm that the phantom Elo entry has been completely removed.
