Preparing Windows 11 to Flash the Elo M60 Device

This guide explains how to prepare a Windows 11 PC to flash the Elo — Now part of Zebra Technologies M60 device.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Boot the M60 into Fastboot mode by holding down the trigger button (located underneath the power button), then connect the device to the PC.
2. When the LED light finishes flashing, release the trigger button. The device is now in Fastboot mode.
3. On the PC, open the Device Manager and locate the unknown Android device.
   
4. Open Windows Updates and click Check for updates.
5. Click on Advanced options.
   
6. Click on Optional updates or Driver updates.
7. Select the driver labeled Google, Inc. - Other hardware - Android Bootloader Interface and then download and install it.
   
8. The unknown Android device in Device Manager will now be recognized as Android Bootloader Interface under the Kedacom USB Device group.
   
9. Obtain the M60 image or the Android platform-tools package containing fastboot.exe. Extract the files to a folder on your PC.
10. Open a Command Prompt window and change the directory to the extracted M60 image folder.
11. Run the following command: fastboot devices
12. If the result returns the serial number of the device, the computer has successfully recognized the M60 and is ready to flash the device.
    

Additional Notes

• When the device is not in Fastboot mode, the M60 will be listed as M60C-Pay under the Portable Devices group in Device Manager.
• Depending on your exact Windows environment, the driver may alternatively be listed under Windows Updates as LeMobile - Other hardware - Android Composite ADB Interface.
