This article provides the steps for setting up the Elo Fingerprint Scanner, E134286, as a Windows 10 sign-in device

This Technical Bulletin describes steps for setting up the Elo Fingerprint Scanner, P/N: E134286, on an Elo Windows 10 AIO Touch Computer to use as a Windows 10 Sign-In Device.  

This procedure requires that you have already initially installed the Elo Fingerprint Scanner on an Elo AIO Touchcomputer. If you have not done that yet, please refer to Knowledge Article, Elo Fingerprint Scanner (E134286) Installation

1. With Elo AIO Touchcomputer turned on, type Hello into the search box and click on Windows Hello settings.



2. Click on the Set up option in the Fingerprint section.


 
3. Click on the Get started button.

 

4. If you have a PIN setup on your computer, you will need to enter it to continue.


 
5. Follow the instructions as they appear on the screen. Touch the fingerprint sensor. You will be prompted to do this several times during the setup.




 
6. Once setup has successfully obtained your fingerprint, you will receive the All set! message. You may now close the Windows Hello setup. 

 

7. You will now see the Fingerprint scanner as an option for signing into Windows.
