This article explains the end of support for Windows XP and Elo's recommendation to upgrade to a modern operating system for improved security, compatibility, and touch functionality
At Elo, we are committed to providing our customers with the best possible support and technology solutions. As part of this commitment, we no longer support the Windows XP operating system.
Microsoft officially ended support for Windows XP in 2014, meaning the operating system no longer receives security updates, bug fixes, or technical assistance from Microsoft. As technology continues to evolve, maintaining compatibility with an outdated OS presents significant security and functionality challenges.
Additionally, Elo’s multi-touch touch monitors are not recommended for use with Windows XP, as XP is not a multi-touch operating system. For the best experience and full utilization of Elo’s touch capabilities, we strongly recommend upgrading to a modern, supported operating system.
To ensure we focus our resources on providing quality support for current and future technologies, Elo technical support no longer provides assistance for Windows XP. However, we understand that some customers may still require information related to XP. For this reason, all available resources for Windows XP can be found in our Knowledge Base on the Elo Support website.
We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to explore upgrading to a supported operating system to maintain security, performance, and compatibility with the latest Elo solutions. If you have any questions about transitioning to a newer OS, our support team is here to help guide you.
The last XP compatible touch drivers that were released by Elo were the single-touch 5.9.0 driver and the Multi-Touch 7.2.1 driver. Please visite the XP driver download page here.
