This article provides step-by-step instructions for creating a bootable USB flash drive using RUFUS and an .iso image, and then using it to image or re-image an Elo AIO or ECM system.
Part 1: Create Bootable USB with RUFUS
- Download RUFUS:
http://rufus.akeo.ie/ - Insert a USB flash drive (16GB or larger) into a Windows computer.

Open RUFUS and select your USB drive from the Device dropdown.

Click SELECT, browse to your .iso file, and click Open.

When prompted with a warning message, click OK.

Configure the following:
- Set a Volume label (optional)
- Select NTFS as the File system
Click START to begin.
- Wait for the process to complete. This may take 30 minutes or more.

Once the status shows READY, click CLOSE and safely remove the USB flash drive.
Part 2: Boot Elo Device from USB
- Insert the USB flash drive into the Elo AIO or ECM system.
- Power on the device.
- When the Setup icon appears in the upper-right corner, tap it to enter BIOS.

Navigate to the BOOT section and set the USB flash drive as the #1 boot device.
- Go to the Exit tab and select Save Changes and Exit.

The system will reboot. When prompted for confirmation, select OK.
Part 3: Run Recovery Process

Select Install Recovery Solution.

Select Test Hardware.

After the test passes, click Start.

When prompted to confirm, select YES to begin recovery.
- The recovery process will begin. This may take 30 to 45 minutes.
Once complete, remove the USB flash drive. The system will be restored and ready for use.
