This article explains why some users may have issues with the mouse driver in Windows NT
The below describes issue conflicting mouse drivers in the Windows NT v3.1c driver.
NOTE: Windows NT is no longer supported by Microsoft or Elo Touch Solutions.
Conflicting Mouse Drivers with Windows NT
Extended-function mouse drivers can conflict with Elo touchscreen drivers.
- Check this registry path.
- If MouseWare was not in the registry path:
- Check Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.
- If any mouse drivers other than MonitorMouse are in the list, try removing them.
- Reboot and check touch operation.
- If any mouse drivers other than MonitorMouse are in the list, try removing them.
- Check Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.
- If neither of the above, or if the touchscreen still doesn't work, check the hardware:
- For serial touchmonitors that are connected to a COM port, run comdump.
- If you are absolutely certain that your hardware works, go on to driver checks.
