Recovering the Operating System (Factory Restore) on Elo Backpack® with Intel.
This article explains how to recover the Elo Backpack® with Intel operating system back to factory settings.
Important: Performing a factory recovery will permanently delete all customer data, settings, and installed software. Before proceeding, be sure to back up all files, configurations, and applications.
Recovery Procedure
- Completely power off the Elo Backpack® with Intel.
- Power the system back on.
- When the recovery menu appears, tap UEFI – Recover Operating System.
- The Elo Recovery Solution user interface will appear.
- Select Restore Default OS.
The system will automatically test the hardware. When the test completes, select the Start button to begin the recovery process.
Note: This process reformats the primary storage drive. - When recovery is complete, select Close. The system will return to the main recovery menu.
- Select Exit to restart the system.
Important Notes
- All data is permanently deleted during the recovery process.
- The end user is responsible for backing up data prior to recovery.
- Elo Touch Solutions is not responsible for lost data or software.
- The end user must comply with Microsoft’s licensing terms and agreements.
