This article explains how to fix "unknown device" showing up in device manager in EloPOS, E-Series 2, I-Series 2.0 for Windows
Some customers who choose to install their own operating system on an EloPOS, E-Series 2, or I-Series 2.0 for Windows device will find there are "unknown device" entries in Device Manager.
Each EloPOS, E-Series 2, and I-Series 2.0 for Windows device has a driver pack available to download from the Elo website. These drivers are often necessary to install whenever a non-Elo image is installed on a system. To download the correct driver pack for your system please visit Computer Driver Packs download section and choose the appropriate driver pack for the product you have. Install any drivers that are needed from the driver pack.
Some customers who have reported an "unknown device" have found that it was the Gyro Sensor driver missing.
If you are not seeing "Sensors" listed in Device Manager, you will need to install the driver. The driver can be found inside the Driver pack under "Peripherals" and is in the "G-Sensor" folder.
You will find a "setup.exe" in the G-Sensor folder to install the driver.
Double-Click to execute the setup.exe file and allow the driver to install on the system.
You must restart the computer for the changes to take place.
Once the G-Sensor driver has been installed the "unknown device" should now be labeled "Sensors" and working properly.
