This article explains how some Autopilot deployment scenarios work with LTSC 2021 while using the same deployment settings for Pro/Enterprise editions

The following screenshots are from Intune/Endpoint Manager Admin Center where Autopilot is configured for workstations.

Autopilot can be configured using either the User-Driven or Self-Deploying modes. Use cases like kiosk or interactive signage will typically be deployed using Self-Deploying mode because the devices only require powering on and connecting to the Internet. The rest is automated from logging in to launching the assigned application.



Supported Self-Deploying Kiosk Modes:
Single app, full-screen kiosk
Microsoft Edge browser – Supported in LTSC 2021 since it is included in the OS.
Microsoft Edge Legacy browser - Supported in LTSC 2021 since it is included in the OS.
Kiosk browser – Not supported. It is a Microsoft Store app.
Store app – Not supported. LTSC does not support Microsoft Store.



Multi app kiosk
Microsoft Edge browser – Supported in LTSC 2021 since it is included in the OS.
Kiosk browser – Not supported. It is a Microsoft Store app.
Store app – Not supported. LTSC does not support Microsoft Store.
Win32 app – Supports launching desktop applications.
By AUMID – Not yet tested.
