This article explains how to fix the "phantom" mouse on touchscreen devices
It is sometimes described as a "phantom" mouse, "ghost" mouse, or "floating mouse icon." The official name is "Windows Touch Pointer." It is a transparent mouse icon that sometimes appears on the touchscreen for users running Windows 7 or Windows Vista Operating Systems.
Windows Touch Pointer is not part of Elo's software or hardware, but rather a feature of Windows Pen & Touch Settings in Windows 7 and Windows Vista Operating Systems. You can read more about it here.
To turn Windows Touch Pointer off, go into Pen and Touch settings, scroll down to the Touch Pointer section and deslect the box beside "Show the touch pinter when I'm interacting with items on the screen." Apply changes and exit the Pen and Touch settings. The Windows Touch Pointer should not be showing after making these changes.
